The Lanzhou Jinda Building, formerly known as the Jinda Building, is a 25-storey office building with a total area approximating 100,000 square meters located in Lanzhou City. People there felt that overall energy-saving tasks and equipment controls could be more effectively achieved with Delta’s IP-based automated control system. This would make the Lanzhou Jinda Building the first of its kind in northwest China, where building operators could fully leverage their real-time management and control system, and securely by using their smart phones.

Delta Building Management and Control System (BMCS) makes comprehensively monitoring and controlling all equipment and devices within a building on a single operator platform a reality. It offers a unified and friendly operator environment, while meeting client’s energy-saving demands. Application scenarios include subsystems for monitoring and control, such as: AHU, MAU, chiller, heat exchange station, air-cooled heat pump, water supply and drainage, ventilation and exhaust, energy statistics and analysis.

The Automation Server is an integral part of the Delta BMCS, which is itself a highly integrated controller. It features full support for a variety of communication protocols and data exchange formats within the industry, such as BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, LonMark/IP, LonMark TP/FT-10, Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, OPC XML-DA, MBus, KNX, EnOcean, and more, with functional features such as alarm, scheduling, trending (AST) and others. A dazzling array of over 40 I/O expansion modules also helps you expand the physical I/Os of your automation servers. All the control devices pertaining to the Jinda Building can now be integrated with ease and comfort. Through our scheduling control, air-conditioning or other related equipment can now be shut off during off-hours to reduce unnecessary loads on electricity and management efforts for improved energy-saving operation.

Simply using their smart phones, tablets or other mobile devices, building operators have access to a friendly real-time monitoring and control interface for on-site or remote access, as the entire building is easily available, anytime anywhere. Upon receiving an alert of abnormal system status, relevant devices can start/stop automatically or manually, according to its pre-configuration. With these powerful features, Delta’s BMCS successfully fulfills designated requirements for real-time adaptive control, staying in sync with the alarm system’s timely alerts for operators to take immediate response for a quick resolution of any problems.
