CII recently hosted “3rd Edition Virtual Conference on Profitability through Energy Conservation & Efficiency Focus: Energy Efficiency Measures have Direct Impact on Profitability” where Mr. Manish Walia, Business Head – Industrial Automation Solutions, Delta Electronics India was among the speakers who shared his views and thoughts on “How Can Industrial Controls Aids Energy Efficiency?”
The virtual conference started with a welcome remark from Mr. Vishal Baid Chairman – Rajasthan Confederation of Indian Industry. It was followed by Mr. Suket Singhal Convenor, CII Panel on Energy & Water and CEO & Managing Director, Secure Meters Ltd sharing the Theme Address.
The conference divided among four-panel discussions or master class. The topic “How Can Industrial Controls Aids Energy Efficiency?” emphasized on how businesses can achieve energy efficiency by switching to lighter materials and reducing the load on said machines.
Mr. Manish Walia was a part of the discussion where, through his presentation on “Industrial Controls Aids Energy Efficiency, “ he addressed the importance of conservation & efficiency along with energy efficiency measures. The presentation was divided into three segments with Smart Machines, Smart Manufacturing, and Smart Green Factory. In the smart machines, he shared how energy and motor system can benefit the business in cost savings. Smart machines can support the plastic industries in reducing the maintenance frequencies and with CNC Solutions to enhance precision and reduction in process time.
In Smart Manufacturing, through product visualization, the businesses and industries can enhance production, increase the overall efficiency, and ensure quality control for management. Another major part of smart manufacturing is robot workstations that help to resolve the issue of a labor shortage as well as increase the productivity for the businesses and industries. Robot workstations can support flexible manufacturing and shorten production time, ensuring consistent product quality.
Leading towards smart green factory, the emphasis was on energy saving solutions, which can enhance factory system operation and equipment efficiency, optimize power efficiency and achieve energy saving and management strategy for equipment, system, and operation. Revamping to smart green factories can result in enhanced product competitiveness, minimize downtime, and reduce risk.
