KRISHNAGIRI, TAMIL NADU, March 4, 2026 – Delta Electronics India, a leading provider of power management and smart green solutions, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), inaugurated a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Robotics and PLC Automation at the College of Engineering, Bargur, in Krishnagiri district, Tamil Nadu.
The Centre has been established as a state-of-the-art industrial automation training facility designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industrial applications, aiming to equip students and working professionals with hands-on, industry-relevant skills aligned with evolving manufacturing ecosystems. The Centre has been implemented by the Tamil Nadu Apex Skill Development Centre for Automobile (TN AutoSkills).
This initiative represents a forward-looking step toward strengthening Tamil Nadu’s position as a leading manufacturing hub while accelerating the development of a future-ready, automation-skilled workforce aligned with Industry 4.0 requirements.
Thiru C. Dinesh Kumar, District Collector, said, "Industry-led Centres of Excellence are vital to shaping a skilled and future-ready workforce. Through the Vetri Nichayam initiative of TNSDC, structured and industry-aligned programmes equip youth with the skills needed to enhance their employability and contribute meaningfully to Tamil Nadu's economy. This collaboration with Delta Electronics India, integrating robotics and automation into skilling programmes, brings advanced training opportunities closer to our youth and prepares them to drive Tamil Nadu's and India's manufacturing growth."

This Centre of Excellence reflects our commitment to advancing automation capabilities and supporting the transformation of manufacturing ecosystems. By enabling hands-on exposure to robotics, PLC automation, and smart assembly technologies, we aim to empower the next generation of professionals to drive productivity, innovation, and sustainable industrial growth.”
The CoE will focus on Robotics (4-Axis and 6-Axis), PLC Automation, and Smart Assembly Systems. It is supported by advanced infrastructure, including 4-axis and 6-axis robotic systems, PLC training workstations, and a smart screwdriver assembly cell that closely replicates live industrial environments.
Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director, Delta Electronics India, added, “The Centre has been designed to mirror real industrial conditions, ensuring that trainees gain practical, application-oriented experience in automation systems. Through structured short-term and long-term programmes, we intend to build a strong, industry-ready talent pipeline capable of supporting automation-driven sectors and strengthening India’s competitiveness in advanced manufacturing.”
The Centre will conduct short-term training programmes of 120 hours on a monthly basis and long-term programmes of 272 hours on a quarterly basis under TNSDCs flagship initiative of Vetri Nichayam, with each batch accommodating 20 to 25 participants, based on demand. The structured curriculum is designed to ensure measurable skill outcomes and direct industry relevance.
With this initiative in Krishnagiri district, Delta Electronics India, in partnership with TNSDC, reinforces its long-term commitment to India’s manufacturing transformation, skill development priorities, and industrial advancement. The initiative also fosters stronger collaboration between industry, government institutions, and local communities to build a resilient and technology-driven future.
In addition to the inauguration of the Centre of Excellence, Delta Electronics India organized a large-scale tree plantation drive in Kuppachiparai, Krishnagiri, with the plantation of 30,000 saplings.
