The printed circuit board (PCB) is a key component for various electronics products, widely used in consumer, communication, automotive, and home appliance products, and even for the aerospace industry. PCB drilling machines drill the holes for soldering pins onto the PCBs, or to connect the circuit's different layers and complete the circuit design.
Delta's PCB Drilling Machine Solution features the Motion Control Card PCIe-L221-B1D0 as master control. Integrating the AC Servo Drive ASDA-A3-E Series and analog I/O modules, the solution achieves stable, high-speed and precise PCB drilling via EtherCAT fieldbus. Combined with the drilling path algorithms and PCB graphic decoding software, Delta's solution optimizes the paths to prevent unnecessary movement of the X & Y axes for efficient operation. Collecting the data of the servo systems, the solution enables users to analyze the operation performance with EtherCAT fieldbus communication. It also offers real-time monitoring of the equipment, and notifies the users of anomalies on a graphical interface.
